The first split-level winery in
Mendoza uses nature rather than energy to cool its bodega by being completely underground. The business was founded in August 1997 and the winery was up and running in February 1998. The grapes come from both their own vineyard next to the winery and the Porri estate in Chacras de Corria where 75 year old Malbec vines are grown. Yields vary from 1.8 to 3.2 tones per acre. In house wine consultant Paul Hobbs helps make the wine in stainless steel vats. Aging is done in oak barrels, 500 French and 500 American.
