A walk through the steel clad doors lead to what is reputedly the largest cellar in Mendoza and its state of the art technology producing excellent wines. Situated only 10 minutes drive from the city it is also one of the most accessible. Groups are small and private and the tastings a revelation on the grand designs this winery has on becoming a global brand.

Owned by British group Diageo and run Californian by Jeffrey Stambord. They have an impressive 19,375sq.ft underground barrel cellar with a 4,000 capacity. They do not have any vineyards of their own so Juan Maco the chief winemaker spends 70% of his time visiting growers. He determines harvest date by tasting ‘í don’t pay too much attention to degrees brix’ they buy grapes for UCO valley with yields ranging from 3.6 to 4.8 tones per acre, depending on the vine.
