Chacras de Coria is a beautiful, upscale vineyard neighborhood located 20 minutes south of Mendoza city center.  It is the location of some very beautiful wine lodges with expansive gardens and luxury rooms.with elegant interiors, atmospheric wine cellars and that all important pool. We highly recommend Casa Glebinias, Lares de Chacras and Finca Adalgisa.
Trout & Wine Tours is offering a free room at such a lodge for any clients that choose to do a two-day tour and three-night at lodge package tour with Trout & Wine, meaning you get a fourth night at the lodge free. The offer applies until the 31st March 2019. A standard room at a wine lodge costs $225 US.

Below is a sample itinerary that can be modified to your specifications.
Day 1        A Wine Tour of Lujan de Cuyo

We pick you up in the morning at 9am and head for the vineyards of Luján de Cuyo, in the heart of Mendoza wine country. Our English-speaking guide will escort you around four premium wineries, old and modern, high tech and quaint, with a spectacular backdrop of snow-capped mountains.
First we take you to Mendel, an old historical winery run by one of Argentina's most famous winemakers Roberto de la Motta. The vineyard's 100-year old vines produce excellent conentrated Malbec and we try the winery's top label Unus, rated 94-points by Robert Parker JR. Next we have a tasting at 
the modern Bodega Viña Cobos. The co-owner Paul Hobbs is an American winemaker credited with making Malbec the highly regarded varietal it is today At midday we visit  Club Tapiz, a wine lodge, winery and olive house. Here we have an incredible gourmet lunch where four wines are paired with four dishes. You will taste Mendoza's finest Sauvignon Blanc, as well as excellent Syrah and Malbec. We finish the day at  Alta Vista, a traditional winery completely renovated and refurbished by a French wine family. Here we try Torrontes, Bonarda, Malbec and have a special tasting of their Grand Reserva, one of Argentina's best Malbecs. We return to Mendoza city at 5pm.

Day 2         Free Day
Spend the day enjoying the lodges excellent facilities before wandering over to the nearby, picturesque Plaza de Chacras with its many restaurants and stores.

Day 3        A Tour of the Andes

We pick you up at 8.30am at your hotel and go west, climbing into dramatic mountain scenery. We follow the trail of the old Trans-Andean railway as it snakes and tunnels its way through three mountain ranges. We pass the snow capped Cordón del Plataand turquoise Potrerillos lake. We follow the Rio Mendoza upriver through a valley called Seven Tunnels until we reach the mountain town of Uspallata. We continue our trip through mountain scenery made famous in the movie Seven Years in Tibet. The road passes through Penitentes Ski Resort and continues west until several kilometres before the Chilean border, where we turn into Aconcagua National Park. Here we take a short walk to Horcones pond and view the tallest mountain outside the Himalayas (weather permitting). On return we stop to see Puente Del Inca, a naturally formed bridge over a steep ravine. Here there is a small handicrafts market and hot spring complex. We continue down the mountains until we stop at Penitentes ski resort where we enjoy lunch at Ayelen Restaurant. Lunch is three courses of different options for each course. Sample menu: Mendocino style Empanadas, Steak, and Chocolate Marquise, all accompanied with fine wine. Return to Mendoza City 6pm.

Day 4         Free Day
On your fourth day you can choose to relax by the pool or take another excursion to a different wine region. We highly recommend Valle de Uco.
